    Zero Dollar Promise

    The Baseball Island Foundation is unlike any baseball academy or foundation that currently exists in the Dominican Republic. We provide a (free) pro-level player development program to help youth chase their Major League Baseball dreams, but only to those who prioritize education.

    ​

    We do not participate in the traditional “buscone” system. Players who sign professional baseball contracts with MLB teams will NOT be obligated to give a percentage of their signing bonus to The Baseball Island Foundation.

    ​

    We respect Dominican baseball culture and traditions, and we will not interfere with any pre-existing agreements that Dominican families have with local coaches.
